This season, Noose & Monkey‘s unique aesthetic is once again showcased through their use of luxurious fabrics combined with bright colours and prints.
The piece that immediately caught my eye was this velvet blazer:

and velvets are actually a key player throughout this collection. As well as interesting crocodile and snakeskin blazer designs, there are also classic-cut blazers and trousers in four different colours: burgundy, pink, ice blue (pictured above), and duck egg. For those of you who want something even more out of the ordinary, there is the ‘Picasso’ tailcoat, which has all-over velvet flocking.
If you’re often invited to formal events, you might want to take a peek at N&M’s new tuxedos. For a seasonal crispness and lightness, the ‘Rothco’, an all-white 2 piece suit is available; equally, if you’re looking to give off that dark, mysterious and brooding vibe, their burgundy textured three-piece ‘Titian’ tuxedo is sheer perfection.

If you’ve long been a fan of the brand, you’ll be excited to hear that their staple suits are back with a touch of rebranding! The 3-piece ‘Ellroy’ with its signature horseshoe waistcoat has been remade in a selection of new colours, including bright pink and wine. A new burgundy and navy tartan suit, the ‘Hogarth’, has also been made to go alongside the existing classic green and navy ‘Ginsberg’.

If, like me, you’re more of a low-key hermit than a partygoer, you might want to check out their casual wear as this season, N&M are introducing three velvet bomber jackets! The flashiest option is the ‘Monet’, a gold, crushed velvet jacket, but if you’d like something more toned down that is just as comfortable and luxurious, you can opt for a moody burgundy or a black flocking print.

Although a lot of these pieces have already sold out, restocks will be happening due to popular demand so keep an eye on your favourites! Throughout the season, new stock will also be dropped in the form of shirts and accessories, so there’s a wide range of smaller pieces you can buy to elevate your wardrobe.
You can find Noose & Monkey online at Asos, Zalando, Topman and De Bijenkorf and of course, their personal online store is nooseandmonkey.com. If you’re more of a try-it-on in person shopper, the brand is available in Topman in Oxford Circus, as well as selected stores in the US.
‘Age of Now’, the retail concept launched by the brand in AW16 is also online and in selected House of Fraser stores.
