Hi everyone!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m Sophie, and I\u2019m a writer, educator, and generally vibing polyglot! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m an Escalator Fellow 2025\/26<\/a><\/strong>, won The Book Edit’s Writers’ Prize 2025<\/strong><\/a> for my adult romcom, and my YA manuscript was awarded Highly Commended in Faber’s FAB Prize 2024<\/strong><\/a>. I\u2019ve completed a poetry residency with\u00a0Metal New Artist Network<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, as well as non-fiction residencies with\u00a0Bothy Project<\/a><\/em><\/strong>,\u00a0Studio 459<\/a><\/strong><\/em>, and Amplify Bookstore<\/em><\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When not writing, I design and deliver creative translation and poetry workshops, working with organisations such as the Stephen Spender Trust<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, The Queen\u2019s Translation Exchange<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, Cheltenham Literature Festival<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, The Goethe-Institut<\/a><\/strong>,<\/em> Hong Kong Baptist University<\/a><\/em>,<\/strong> Bi+ Lines<\/a>,<\/strong> and the National Centre for Writing<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my downtime, I can be found either hanging out with my two dogs, Doughnut and Tiny, in Norwich or chaotically solo-travelling the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
