i pinch pennies
my mother pinches my waist
you’ll never find a husband if you look like a slob<\/em>
i answer a call-out for queer writers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

my email signature mutates with every new venture
every slash fragments me further
lose parts of myself
unearth others
maybe identity exists in the in-between<\/p>\n\n\n\n

what a waste<\/em>
perhaps i have always liked wasting my time on:
1. white men
2. white academia
3. white pages<\/p>\n\n\n\n

hold my pen against the page until ink bleeds through
hands press against the sheets
line upon line of void expectation
there are no metaphors here
just stains<\/p>\n\n\n\n

i use invisible ink for stories i learnt never to say aloud
in a language that has never been mine<\/p>\n\n\n\n

perhaps illiterate is another word for silenced
perhaps poet is another word for immigrant<\/p>\n\n\n\n

perhaps fulfilment is another 30 days away<\/p>\n\n\n\n
